Fun!

OK, I've been going ON and ON with stories, so here's some fun.
I love to be crazy and do things that make no sense at recess.
In school I love writing (of course! :P), reading, math, P.E. and recess.
I also love playing violin, piano, singing, dancing, doing backbends, back walk overs and such with my mom and sister, and doing family soccer.
I obviously love blogging.
I think scary stories are AWESOME!
I make up a lot of strange names (if you haven't noticed!).
My friends are crazy and awesome with me (recently at the recess of the Halloween Party I was a corpse bride and tried to find my lover, while my friends did other crazy things to mock their costumes).
I personally think that I am a monkey (hehe).
Thanks for reading!

The Battle Of the Wanvires and the Werewolves

Wanvires are a special type of Vampire that does not drink blood, but fights deadly.  The Wanvires are sworn enemies of the Werewolves.  The Necrodice are on whatever side is losing... unless one betrays the word of the Necrodice.  Cherky, Merewither, Asish, Tramun and Tate (all normal Wanvire names) are a team.  Cherky is the oldest taking 1000, Merewither is second taking 800, Tate and Tramun taking 700, and Asish comes last at 600.  Cherky must protect her family, which she considers her babies.  The next-door Werewolves are Wemitro, Nill, Vani and Torwin.
As these enemies fight, a Necrodice named Killen shows up, and since the Wanvires are losing, he is on their team.  They battle and battle, exchanging injure for injure and capture for payback.  Trickery is planned on the Werewolves team, taking Cherky's legs, only to be returned by Merewither, a healing Wanvire.  Fight is on, as the Werewolves consider their leader, Wemitro, a traitor.  Will the Wanvires win?  Will the Werewolves win?  Or will they become friends?

The Fear-Full Adventure

 The Fear-Full Adventure

I am Merrisha Holands.  I am eleven years old, and I live in Moormath  Street in the city of Kerryville.   I have shoulder-length blonde curls and big blue eyes.  I love reading, swinging, doing the monkey bars, and crafting.   I love the smell of cookies on the pan, and brownies in the oven.  I am a normal sixth grader.
OK, I’m not totally normal, but no one is, right?  Let’s just say I have... well..... conditions.  I don’t think the way some people do.  A normal person would see a spider and smash it and scrape it off on the ground.  I freak out and start spraying this really stinky repellent around me.  Yes, I agree, repellent stinks, but it’s better than having spiders crawling up your arms and biting you and sending you to the hospital.  You’ve guessed it, I’m an arachnophobe.
I’m also a little bit strange when it comes to elevators, and other small spaces without windows.  I don’t see how some people can go into a public bathroom without getting sweaty hands and passing out.  How do some people not feel as though the world is closing in on them?  Yes, I am also a claustrophobe.
You think two fears is enough?  Well, I also get terrified in the dark.  Who else brings a flashlight with them everywhere they go?  Not anyone I know of.  But even though I know it is very irrational to be afraid of the dark,  I can’t stop myself from hyperventilating.
But besides all those irrational fears, my life is pretty normal.  I have to say, not everyone has a life as lucky and easy as I do.  Nothing very bad has ever happened to me.  OK, fine, that’s not entirely true....

Merrisha Holands is eleven years old, and other than three irrational fears, her life is pretty normal.  She has a healthy amount of friends, a good life at home, and she is smart enough that she doesn't get in trouble in school too often.
But when Merrisha learns that she isn't the only one who is afraid, and that she must go on an amazing journey to save those with fears, Merrisha must face her worst nightmares, and more fear than she thought was possible.

Tree Climber

Tree Climber is about a girl who loves climbing.  Camandra reads in the trees, writes in the trees, sometimes sleeps in the trees.  It is as though she is meant to climb.  It is as though the tree is calling for her to come climb.  She hopes nothing ever stops her from climbing.  She doesn't know how she'd bear it if something did happen.
She doesn't only climb trees.  She also loves the monkey bars at school, and would spend hours on them.  Most people call Camandra "Tree Climber".  She doesn't really mind, for she is pretty much a perfect example for one.
But as the weeks of climbing pass, Camandra wonders if it isn't just a coincidence that she loves climbing so much.  Maybe she really is meant to climb.  Read and find out how she learns the secrets of the trees.

Every Detail Counts

Every Detail Counts is about a 12 year old girl.  Her family dies, and she is left with nothing but her dog, Kork.  She feels as though her life is over.... school is now so hard.  Every detail counts.  Anything that happens, sticks in her brain, and she can tell it is of importance.  Now that her family is gone, she starts learning her family's secrets.  Every single detail, no matter how small it seems, is very important.  She must learn all the secrets of her family, for now they really do matter.  The secrets of their past, their present, and their future.  Secrets of their names, their kids, even their house.  Secrets of the school, the lockers, and more.  And then comes the secret of her name.  The secret of why they named her Deathrette.

I Should Have Listened

No one wakes up thinking they must save the day from evil.  Therefore, no one would believe their 8 year old sister when she said the world was in desperate need of them.  And so I didn't.  I pushed 8 year old Rebecca out of my mind and tried to fall back asleep.  Tried to ignore Rebecca's warnings.
I should have listened.  Now, in the situation I'm in, I know I should have listened to Rebecca. What harm could it have done to sit up in bed and listen?

If you had a sister 3 years younger than you, and a brother 2 years older, you might not act how Amy acted, but that was still her excuse.  Her 8 year old sister, Rebecca, is very frail and has nightmares that she is convinced will really happen.  Her 13 year old brother, Gordan, is very bold and gets mad at Amy when she doesn't listen to Rebecca.  Amy has one friend: Rannashey.  No one else talks to her.  Not since she tripped and spilled her chocolate milk all over Mrs. Morgan.  So Amy is very careful what she does.  She can't make Rannashey stop talking to her.  That's why she doesn't even pretend to listen to Rebecca, that's why on the playground she swings and swings and never does the monkey bars, even though she wants to.
But maybe she should listen to Rebecca.  Maybe Rebecca isn't making up all this nonsense.

The Curse of Mickerson

Jenna Mickerson has always felt strange.  She can't skip, literally, she can't sing, her voice is almost unbearable.  And she can't jump.  She can never leave the ground completely.  Janna hates it.  One day, after school, Jenna sees a strange boy spying on her.  Over the next few days, she sees him constantly, and she is almost positive he is not just an annoying boy.  Jenna learns that she can't jump, skip, etc. because of a curse, and she must break it.

Are you awake?

Are You Awake? takes place in an unknown country called Malcaevar.  People in Malcaevar have lived in happiness for thousands of years, but when the little girl, Minky, is born, this all changes.  Crazy things start happening, and Minky is sure it has to do with her.  One night, when everyone else is asleep, she tiptoes upstairs and opens the window.  The wind on her face feels perfect, and Minky can't help but jump out the window and try to fly away.  And when she does, she falls graciously to her feet. Minky immediately knows what is wrong.  She goes from door to door asking the same question, "Are you awake?"  When she gets to the last door, the door opens and she finds a black man, "Are you awake?"  she asks, and he says, "No."
What has Minky discovered?  Why should she ask those questions?  And that man in black..... Who is he?

The Committee's Threat

The Committee's Threat is about Sydney (15) and Courtney (14).  Mainly Sydney.  Sydney and Courtney visit a strange town to help fix up a house.  A big council will levy them a fine if they don't get it fixed up, and the committee is demanding the house repaired in a month.  Sydney has grown up working hard, and finds this easy.  She cleans, repaints, and sets up all the rooms, stairs and halls.  Except for a small room that Courtney is supposed to clean.  But Courtney isn't hard working.  She whines and complain when she's given the slightest work.  She cries hysterically when she is forced to scrub the floor.  She dumps out buckets of water on the floor and claims she's scrubbed so much her hands are blistered.  Sydney hates this.  She's tired of Courtney's complaining.  So one day, she shoves Courtney a bit, and forces her to start cleaning properly.  As Sydney walks out of the room to talk to a council member.  When she asks how to get Courtney to work, the council member turns serious.  He looks at her and gruffly says, "Tell her the truth: something foreboding with happen if she doesn't."

Kelly's best friend is Mary Jen.  Mary Jen is sweet, nice, and loves and encourages Kelly's art.  Kelly thinks she will always be Mary Jen's friend.  But when Mary Jen meets a not-so-good boy named Walter, she starts to change.  Kelly tries to tell Mary Jen that she shouldn't be around Walter, but Mary Jen pushes her away and says, "Walter can do amazing things.  Things you can't do in your silly art."  Kelly feels broken, her best friend now hates her!
Then, one day, when Kelly tries to talk Mary Jen back, Mary Jen starts using magic.  Is that what "amazing" Walter was teaching her?

Kora's Kidnap

Kora's Kidnap is about a girl named Ekella.  Ekella believes that no one should be forced to do anything.  The funny thing about that is that Ekella is a Powerholder.  Powerholders are special people who can force anyone to do anything.  For example, Mike Stevorson was the most famous Powerholder in history.  He was known for forcing a thanatophobe to go 2 days without any food, water or safety.   Ekella, however, has never forced anyone to do anything.
One day, a girl named Kora knocks on Ekella's door, and Ekella immediately grabs her and pulls her up to her room and forces her to sit still while she ties her up.  Ekella doesn't know what came over her, but now she can't stop forcing Kora to do stuff.  Then things start getting bad.  Who knew what had overcome her?  Now she must fight against herself and free Kora before she does real harm to Kora.

The Forgotten

The Forgotten is about a girl named Fira and a boy named Morcal.  Fira sees things, visions, warnings, and she can tell something bad will happen soon.  Morcal can hear those lost (in other words, ghosts), and has a hard time understanding realistic things.  These two kids meet, and their lives are immediately filled with pure action and evil.  Those forgotten are lost forever, those remembered must stay remembered, those to remember must remember.  People are disappearing on the spot, once they are forgotten.  Morcal and Fira are determined to stay together, but when things get really bad, Morcal has to go out and try to "find" the lost, and Fira must try to put a stop to this evil in her town.  So, they must part.  When they part, Fira grabs Morcal by the shoulders and says, "You have to remember me."  Morcal says, "Yes, I know, but you must remember..."
"I will remember you.  I can't forget.  Not even if I wanted to.  But you must remember.  You MUST."

A Quest for Haddic

Sady (10) and Louran (12) are partners.  Sady has no family, but Louran has a grandpa, a 7 year old sister named Olivia, and a 3 year old brother named Haddic.  Their land, Sorger, is under attack, and every person 9 and older must fight.
When Sady and Louran get lost and are trying to get back to Louran's grandpa's house, Louran has no choice but to give Haddic to a hooded caretaker and stranger.  Louran just hopes Haddic will never see war.
When they are fighting, Sady and Louran choose to fight on top of a hill, where they have an advantage.  Sady shoots with a gun that shoots a round ball straight to the enemies eye, and Louran guards Olivia.  Well, they are keeping the enemy on their toes, when Sady and Louran come to new enemies to fight.  One looks strangely
like the Queen's jester.  The other is plump dressed up in armor (like an apple with barbie clothes on).  As Sady and Louran fight these enemies, the jester-like guy keeps trying to tell Louran something, but she won't listen.
Finally, after Sady shoots the plump guy's eye and he has to go to recover, the jester-like guy brings up a conversation while dodging Sady's gun balls.  He asks about Louran's life, and says that he is the queen's
husband and jester.  Sady immediately stops shooting him to listen closer.  The queen's husband says that they have two kids, one is adoptive.  Louran's nods and says she knows that their real baby is Paraly, but she wonders
who the adoptive is.
The jester looks serious, "That's what I've been trying to tell you.  It's Haddic." he says.
Sady and Louran are immediately on a quest to get Haddic back.  Will they?

Sandra and the Frog Men

'Sandra........ Sandra.........' I could hear the drawling of the creatures behind me.  But I couldn't let them get me.  I had gotten too far to give up.  Too far to give in to the voices in my head.  I had to save the Frog Men.  I didn't care how much the snakes hated and despised the Frog Men, the Frog Men had done me good.  Saved my life.  Showed me that I was special.  I couldn't let the snakes attack them, take all they had, when I hadn't even thanked them.
Sandra feels like nothing.  Like she's a waste of space.  She's never liked her life, and wishes she didn't exist.  But when Sandra meets the Frog Men (frog-like people), she finally learns that she is special.  She's actually VERY special and important.  The Frog Men needed her.  No one knew why, but they needed her.  Sandra finally finds herself of importance.
But then there was the snakes.  The snakes were evil and full of persuasion.  When the snakes meet Sandra, they try to kill her.  But the Frog Men save her.  Sandra immediately feels as though she owes the Frog Men, and can't help but shed a few tears when it's time for them to go.  But they won't be gone from her for long.  Sandra learns that the snakes are out to attack the Frog Men, and Sandra must go on an amazing adventure to warn and save the Frog Men.

Katrina

Katrina is about me, an 11 year old named Cereal.  Yes, my name is Cereal.  You know, like the stuff you eat?  Well, yeah.  My parents couldn't think of a name and let my six-year old older brother name me.  And he named me Cereal.  Well, I can't say I don't love being referred to as Cereal-Eating-Cereal (my brother gave me this name, also),  but I still think my parents could have come up with a name like Mac (OK, not Mac, that's my brother), or Sam, or Tom.  But no, I'm Cereal.
Well I grew up in a city called Marversville, where all the houses are tiny and blue and hardly big enough for two tiny bedrooms, one tiny bathroom, and a tiny kitchen.  I share Mac's room, my parents share a room, and then there's the bathroom and kitchen.
Even though our house makes me feel claustrophobic, I love Marversville.  I love playing in the parking lot of the grocery store, or playing cards with Mac while our parents talk inside.  But what I love most....... well......... Katrina. She's beautiful, funny, and happy.

But not everyone stays beautiful, funny, and happy forever.......

OK, romance/scary.  Probably one of the few I'll write.

A Short Biography

OK, I am going to give a short biography of myself just for the fun of it.
I grew up in Utah, and loved drawing and playing games.  At the end of first grade, I read Mr. Popper's Penguins and I have loved reading ever since.  In second grade I decided I wanted to become a famous author, because when you WRITE a story, people READ it, and I loved reading.  So, I pretty much only wanted to write because I liked reading.
At the end of second grade, I moved.
In third grade, I learned that I really liked writing, and could right well, and writing became easier and more fun for me.  I wrote a lot of stories about girls moving to a new school, and everyone was amazed at my writing.  Writing definitely wasn't my favorite, though.  I prefered reading over almost anything.  I read so many books, there were a lot of books I didn't finish.  I also read Harry Potter.
In fourth grade, I loved writing SO much.  I wrote, read (I still chose reading over writing) wrote, read, and played crazy games at recess.  My teacher noticed I liked writing, and pretty soon I was in an amazing writing program.  I came up with Kate's Quest, Kate came to life.  I also had an amazing student teacher who did an awesome job of teaching.
Oh, and in the end of fourth grade I broke my right leg :(.
Fifth grade so far is awesome.  I love writing SO much, I actually now prefer writing over reading.  I have a writing mentor, several friends who love writing, and I can't wait to go to the writing program again!
Thanks for reading!

So I'm Ms. Cow

So I'm Ms. Cow is about a girl named Jillina, who has a poor family.  Jilina's family got stolen from when she was 3, and she and her 3 brothers and parents have struggled to survive.  But when a new author named Gertrude Maridtithirith publishes a book called The Life of Ms. Cow, this changes.  Movie auditions start almost immediately, and it's free to be in the movie.  Jilina is sent to auditions immediately, for if the movie is a success, anyone who was part of it gets $5,000.  Jilina honestly doesn't want to be in a movie, but she keeps telling herself, "It's for the family, it's for the family."
The auditions turn out well, and Jilina is starring Ms. Cow.  She has to dress up as a cow that walks on hind legs, splatter herself with mud, and eat coconut-flavored hay.  She HATES it.  But now she's stuck, dirty and annoyed, as a cow in a movie.

Forgive Me...... I Died

Kemanora loves her family with all her heart.  She holds onto them dearly and can't let them go.  Can't imagine life without them.  Would die for her family's safety.  But on her birthday, Kemanora's family leaves for the store before Kemanora wakes up.  They never come back.  No one knows what happened to them.  One second they were in the car.... the next second they were gone.  Gone forever.
Kemanora is left broken, shattered.  Kemanora is like a ghost.  She can't think, everything is dizzying.  It's like she's under a spell, now that her family is gone.  It's like she herself is gone.  She just walks around with her eyes glazed and thinks and wonders.
Now, Kemanora had friends, many.  Cristeen Wiler, Cristine Winter, Summer Somer, Summer Lancing, Candace Rigged, Broclyn Joyson, Mary Kiley, and many more.  And when Kemanora stops attending school, these friends get scared and worried.  Every day they get more worried, and more worried, and more worried.  Finally, they go to check on her, and find the ghost-like girl she has turned into.  Her once beautiful brown curls are now straight and tangled, faded to a paler color.  Her once healthy, strong, tannish skin is now almost white and soft.  Her eyes are no longer blue, they have changed to a hypnotized-like grey.  She's super skinny and trips over her own feet.
Cristeen, Cristine, Summer S, Summer L, Candace, Broclyn and Mary are horrified by what their once healthy, strong friend has turned into.  They decide to run away to find Kemanora's family, for a question keeps playing in their minds..... Are they really dead?

The Challenge

Cameron is a normal fifth grade girl.  She loves dancing (cartwheeling, that is), wearing jewelry, singing, biking and reading.  The only thing that most of the other fifth grade girls don't do is monkey bars, which Cameron loves.  She and her friends, Molly, Meria, Kelly, and Sidney Jay, are the only ones in all of Nickerseenon Elementary fifth grade to do the monkey bars.  But other than that, Cameron is happy with her life and never wants it to change.  She has never gone to the emergency room, does well in school, and is very athletic.  She plans to keep it that way.
But when Cameron and her friends find out about a monkey bar competition and try out and all get in, things get tough.  They must practice EVERY day to get ready for the competition.  One day, Cameron falls what and breaks both her feet.
The leaders try to find another student to take Cameron's place, but no one is good enough.  Can Cameron complete the competition even with her challenges?

Mirrors

Mirrors is about a girl named Bradelle.  One morning Bradelle wakes up and looks in the mirror, only to find her reflection reading a book.  Her reflection looks up and says 'Oh, hi!  I'm Bradella.'  Bradelle freaks out, and her sister,  Mini wakes up and looks in the mirror and finds her reflection waving at her.  It's a mess, Bradelle and Mini screaming and going crazy, and finally Bradella and Minay (Mini's reflection)  calm them down and tell them why they are showing themselves.  There are two worlds, the Mirror World, and the Blind World (which is what the Mirror People call it.).  There is a devil in the Mirror World, who is disguised as Mom's reflection or twin and wants to destroy the Mirror and Blind Worlds.  Bradella and Minay need Bradelle and Mini's help to stop this devil.

Phobia

OK, I am getting a writing mentor in school.  I am SO excited.  I went to meet her, and we are thinking about writing a scary story from the perspective of someone with a phobia.  I look forward to it, and have some ideas.  Just thought you might like to know!
